The New London Day Dropped The Bombshell That McMahon Personally Ordered A WWE Official To Tip Off The Company's Steroid Doctor Of An Imminent Criminal Investigation That Prosecutors Allege Led To A WWE Executive Instructing Him To "Destroy Any Evidence Of His Contact With WWF Or WWF Wrestling Personnel." "In December 1989, as federal investigators were zeroing in on a Pennsylvania doctor who would soon be convicted of selling steroids to professional wrestlers, Linda McMahon sent a confidential memo to a fellow executive at Titan Sports, the family company that operated what was then known as the World Wrestling Federation. The WWF, she wrote, should alert Dr. George T. Zahorian III that a criminal investigation could be heading his way, according to court documents reviewed by The Day. 'Although you and I discussed before about continuing to have Zahorian at our events as the doctor on call, I think that is now not a good idea,' McMahon wrote in the memo. 'Vince agreed, and would like for you to call Zahorian and to tell him not to come to any more of our events and to also clue him in on any action that the Justice Department is thinking of taking.' Some time that month, not long before Zahorian was arrested and charged with illegally selling steroids, federal prosecutors alleged that an unnamed Titan Sports official called the doctor and instructed him to 'destroy any evidence of his contact with WWF or WWF wrestling personnel.'" The Hartford Courant: "Explosive Story." "The Day's Ted Mann has an explosive story online tonight: Republican Senate candidate Linda McMahon tipped off doctor George T. Zahorian that the U.S. Department of Justice might be about to launch an investigation." The Hartford Courant Reported That Linda McMahon Lied On Her State Board Of Education Application, And Resigned From The Board One Day After Being Confronted About It. "Linda McMahon resigned last week from the State Board of Education, saying that newly issued restrictions on board members' political activities could cause legal complications as she runs for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination. But she still may encounter complications - political ones - because of some questionable answers that she gave in January of 2009 on a questionnaire that she filled out for Gov. M. Jodi Rell's office when the governor was poised to nominate her to the board. McMahon, until recently the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, answered 'no' to five questions to which it appears the answer should - or arguably should - have been 'yes.' ... McMahon's resignation from the board Thursday came a day after The Courant indicated it would be writing about her questionnaire answers, but she said one had nothing to do with the other." The Hearst Newspapers Reported On How Linda McMahon Attacks Special Interests On The Campaign Trail, But Paid Washington, DC Lobbyists Over $1 Million For "Educating" Congress. "In her bid for the U.S. Senate, Linda McMahon has taken pains to depict herself as an outsider -- someone who would arrive in the nation's capital unburdened by special interests and corporate cash. That's the message McMahon delivers in her latest TV ad, which depicts suited men and women on cell phones and in trenchcoats circling each other in a revolving door, as she excoriates the 'politicians, insiders (and) special interests' who have 'run Washington' for years. But the former wrestling impresario is no stranger to the ways of Congress. Over the past nine years, McMahon's family business, Stamford-based World Wrestling Entertainment, spent just over $1 million lobbying the House, Senate and federal agencies, according to disclosure forms filed with Congress. Meanwhile, the company last year paid more than $50,000 to Hartford-based Sullivan & LeShane to lobby Gov. M. Jodi Rell's administration and the state legislature while the WWE worked to secure more than $2 million in film and television production credits. The WWE also has hired lobbyists to push the firm's interests in Canada and New York, according to published reports." (Jennifer A. The Daily Caller Reported That Linda McMahon Employed A Fetish Porn Star As A WWE Diva, As She Claims Her Wrestlers Are Role Models For Children. "McMahon has stuck up for her wrestlers, who she's claimed are good role models for children, citing their charity work. She took a stand in the face of two federal investigations into wrestlers' steroid use and a boycott campaign from social conservatives. But unknown until now - even, they say, to her campaign and top WWE officials, are dozens of sexual fetish movies starring a popular WWE diva released over several years the diva was under the employ of McMahon's WWE. ... The WWE diva who appeared in those films, Candice Michelle, starred in 58 fetish movies between 2002 and 2006, mostly under the name Mackenzie Montgomery."
